Welcome to the Westside Harley Owners Group (or Westside H.O.G.) Chapter for short. If you would like to come to one of our meeting it is at ELKS LODGE, 20925 OSBORNE ST.,Canoga Park, CA. 91304. One block south of Nordhoff off of Desoto. We have our meeting the first Saturday of every month. So come by and check us out. The history of your Westside H.O.G. Chapter began in 1984 and lasted for three years before ‘going on hiatus.’
The current incarnation of your Chapter was reformed in 2008 by Dan Ballard, a salesman for the Barger’s, who decided that a good way to help promote the safe riding of Harley motorcycles and the social camaraderie among proud Harley owners was to restart your local H.O.G. chapter. We’re a group of fun loving motorcycle enthusiasts who would like to invite you out to join us on one of our monthly rides, chapter meetings, or to attend one of our other fun events.
Your West Side H.O.G. chapter has enjoyed many enjoyable rides throughout our existence and the following is a sample of some of the places that we’ve visited: Big Bear- Morro Bay – Death Valley – Palm Springs – Nojoqui Falls (Near Solvang) – Randsburg – Tehachapi - Sturgis - California Poppy Festival, Reno, Las Vegas, Laughlin, San Diego, and many other fun destinations.
If you have a favorite ride or a place that you’ve always have wanted to ride to but haven’t had the opportunity, let an officers know and we’ll be glad to schedule a ride there! Also any question on joining Westside HOG Chapter contact.
If you would like to join our H.O.G. Chapter, come to one of our meetings or head on into Barger Harley-Davidson® and ask for Sue.  For the time and place of our meetings, click on the calendar link.

New Laws Affecting Motorcyclists

Effective January 1, 2013:
Motorcycle riders are subject to a fix-it ticket if a peace officer stops them for loud mufflers. The law only applies if the original equipment muffler, or aftermarket replacement muffler has been manufactured after January 1, 2013 and does not have a federal EPA noise emission label. If the exhaust system in question was built before January 1, 2013, NO CITATION can be issued under CVD 27202.1

A rider can only be cited if first stopped for something else. Citation shall be treated as mechanical violation, or fix-it tickets, which will be dismissed by the court for a nominal fee with proof of correction.

$50 to $100 for first conviction
$100 to $250 for second & subsequent citations
