I actually have the '99 ZL 500 but there isn't much difference between the 1999 and 2000. This sled makes 96 hp. which is almost twice that of my 2000 Z440 ES that has 50 hp. This is a great trail sled, but can accelerate about as fast as my friend's Crossfire 700. It has enough power to pull the skis off the ground. It usually starts in one pull, sometimes two. The only problem I found was the throttle safety switch didn't work right. Sometimes when you hit the throttle it would try and kill, but I disconnected it so now I don't have any problems with it. I can't wait till snow starts to fly. Most of my friends that live in my town own Arctic Cats and love them.
