-- 2nd Review - Great Start In Jericho --
I just had my second ride of the season on the new Arctic Cat 650 H1. I'm very impressed thus far. The comfort is leaps and bounds better than the old solid axle Suzuki Vinson. The suspension soaks everything up in stride. I took a couple good hits with roots and washouts, what would have bucked me off the old machine was barely felt with the 650 H1. The ground clearance makes such a difference and that independent suspension - there is no comparision. Engine smoothness and abundence of torgue make this machine an extremely capable rock climber and mud slinger. There was so much torque I was able to motor through some serious terrain at slow speed, when there was no time to completely stop and engage low gear. The only downfall to this machine I found is the Duro Eagle tires are terrible! There is absolutely no mud traction and it's very greasy when trails get wet. The tire trail comfort is OK but the two-ply tires are extremely prone to sidewall puncture and flex. Hopefully I will upgrade to six-ply Dirtdevil XT or Sedona tires soon. On Oct. 1st I went to the New Durham Valley ATV Club trails in New Hampshire. I really liked the various terrain. Devils Den trail was awesome, straight uphill ledge, especially taken at speed in the pouring rain! I gave all ratings a 5 with the exception of the tires. I would definetly recommend an Arctic Cat 650 H1 to anyone.
