It is a fantastic piece of machinery and has always been reliable. We routinely go for 40-mile rides on Lake Erie - way out into Canadian waters. It tops out at about 54 mph. (GPS) and consistently uses 2.8 gallons of premium gasoline per hour of riding (16-gallon tank). This thing is fast enough for most days on Lake Erie and has great acceleration.
