I never fixed it because it only happened when it was ridden slow for a while and the other always cavitaded. I rode them like this for about 50-60 hours and never got stranded. They rode to about 55 mph. and handled great. The easy-to-work-on parts are still out there for cheap and they rode great. The direct injection worked great, no carbs or choke and started everytime. They do smoke quite a bit especially after sitting for a month or so but after warming up, it was very little smoke. I get great gas mileage for a two stroke and a little quieter than most but it's still loud compared to the newer 4 strokes. Overall it's a great ski.
