-- Needs Work --
I have 586 miles on a trv 1000 cruiser and I'm still evaluating the bike. So far there was a factory defect in the rear axles and they were replaced free of charge which was nice. The seat is very stiff and could use twice the padding that it already has. In high gear the torque from 0-10mph needs a lot of work. Like reclutching it to give it more on the bottom end or changing the rear end gears to give you more bottom end and taking some top end off. You don't need to go 80mph on a utility quad. I like to iddle up hills and you can't do that in high gear but in low there is plenty. After 10 mph in high there is so much power and torque it's scary. It will build speed all the way to 65 with no problem up hill, flat, or down. At high elevation you loose 10mph at top end, 80mph at 2000 and 70 mph at 9000. The suspension is very different than a standard utility quad. It takes bumps much harder and at different angles with the longer wheel base. But I have found with the more miles I put on it, it has become much softer. The starter is weak and Arctic Cat needs to upgrade this item. In cold weather she lugs to start. It packs gear well. I have loaded it with about 400lbs of gear and it works well providing you load it right for your ridding style. It will not turn and burn with a sporty utitily quad. Power steering would be a nice upgrade for this bike. Although the steering is relatively lite, power steering on quads is so much nicer. All in all this is a good pack, touring, and hunting bike. This bike will never power out or not climb something, but you need to pack enough fuel to get there you only get 100 miles to a tank.
