2008 Yamaha FX® SHO Watercraft

I bought this 2008 FX SHO to replace a 2003 SeaDoo GTX 1500 supercharged. I wanted to try a new ski but wanted something that would be as fast or faster than my old one. Compared to my old ski the SHO is a definite upgrade from the SeaDoo. The most notable thing about the SHO is the power. I have read so many other reviews that say that the SHO has so much power. Well they are not lying. When you pull the throttle, you had better be holding on because it is gonna rocket up onto the top of the water and reach into the 60+ MPH with what seems like little effort from the engine in a matter of seconds. The SHO is a very comfortable ride. I have barely used the cruise control but I can definitely see the benefits of this option. The No Wake Mode is very useful, because the SHO idles much slower than my brothers SeaDoo, so it saves from having to throttle through long no wake zones. I am constantly getting compliments on my SHO. There are only a few things about this ski that I wish I could change. The ride in choppy water is not a smooth as my old SeaDoo. The FX SHO does not have gauges for water temp, air temp, miles, trip. All things I grew accostomed to on my SeaDoo, but are availible on the SHO Cruiser. Overall the positive aspects of the FX SHO far outweigh the negative. If you are looking for a large PWC with some real power, then this ski is for you.
