They might not have the top end like the new ones but no one (on our lake) can do what I do on the wake. Talk about durable, it appears the previous owners beat them up a bit, still runs great. I REALLY beat them up, and still runs great. Only thing that's ever happened is the usual plug change. I will probably hand these off to someone who will also beat them up and still run just fine.
