The new GP1300R does exactly what is says on the tin. It punches holes through waves and flys perfect. In mid air flight, the engine is totally reliable. Keep her fed with good 2 stroke oil and wash her down with fresh water and store in a dry place. My only complaint is it may be slightly heavy, but! the bomb proof hull has to come with a price. It all depends what you want from your jet bike. I like the deep blue sea and big waves. In the bath tub lakes, a Sea Doo may have the edge, but take it to the wild water where nature has no respect for the chrome body panels, and the Yamaha thunder horse is in a league of her own. You push through the waves, not the other way around with the light weight Sea Doo. To finish - bomb proof hull + totally realiable engine. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?
