I have had no real problems with the ski. I have maintained it myself on a minimal budget (I have never winter-proofed it even when it has sat idle for 6 months!) However, it's very important to thoroughly clean and grease up the threads on the bolts attaching the pop-off valve located within the water thermostat assembly. This needs to be done on a regular basis. My first experience on the second summer was that the pop-off valve had corroded, the temperature over-heat light came on the display. Since then I have had no problems and have had great fun! The craft is not really stable in choppy water (white tips) but it has a good strong motor and has no problem towing a 3-man raft, also good for jumps and going underwater. Yes, it really does do 70mph on water - the fastest ski for many years until the 3-seater turbo charged 4-stroke breed appeared. All in all, a really great machine. I have now relocated to Spain where I intend using it a lot more...
