-- A Really Great Sled! --
I have owned many sleds. About 10 years ago I bought a used 1999 Yamaha Phazer. I upgraded the track and some other little goodies and ended up selling it to purchase a 2007 Yamaha Phazer brand new. I rode the new 2007 Phazer for one year and sold it. I didn't like anything about the new Phazer, tippy in corners, 16 inches of rear suspension travel that under the machines own weight ate up 10 inches and ice build up all over the back end. To top it off, on a trip up north with seven friends, my sled being the newest was the only one that wouldn't start on a cold morning. Plus, it was broke in with over 500 miles. I sold the 2007 Phazer and found another 2000 Yamaha Phazer and never looked back. I don't think I will ever sell this sled. It is super reliable, starts every time, low maintenance, you are never cold on this machine, even in the coldest temps and it is fast enough to keep up with most other sleds on the trails. Eventually, I will have to replace the track since it is getting worn but the sled is ready to rock for another season! 1999 through 2001 Phazers are great machines! Stay away from 2007 and up Phazers, save your money and find a used '99 thru '01 for cheap! My sled only cost me $1,000 and still looks brand new.
